WHAT IS IT?

The Movement Challenge is a fun challenge that any athlete can participate in.   It doesn’t matter if you are new to CrossFit or if you have been CrossFitting for years.  It is meant to challenge any athlete at any level.  The Movement Challenge contains over 40 movements that are broken down into 4 groups:  Barbell, Bodyweight, MetCon, and Speciality movement.

PRINTOUT

For exact details of all the challenges, printouts for men and women are available.  The printout reveals all of the movements that are broken down into three different levels.

Level I: Green (beginner)
Level II: Blue (intermediate)
Level III: Red (elite)

Your objective, if you accept it, is to complete as many movements as possible on the board.  Every time you complete a specific movement, you will earn a star; based on if you completed the movement at Level I, II, or III.

Here is an example for men:

Under Barbell Movement, you will see Back Squat movement.

Level I:  Back Squat @ Bodyweight will earn you a green star.
Level II:  Back Squat @ Bodyweight and a half will earn you a blue star.
Level III:  Back Squat @ double your weight will earn you a red star.

Let’s say you performed the back squat @ your own bodyweight.  You will earn a green star that will be placed under your name on the board.  You may try it again at a later date if you desire to reach for the next level.  And of course, a coach must see you perform the movement to earn the star.

Once you complete all of them at any level, you will get an awesome reward. (the higher the level completed the better the gift you will be rewarded) 

WHEN CAN I DO IT?

Start date is Feb 4th during the open gym (Tuesday at 6:30pm).  It is required that you perform the movement in front of a coach for the score to count.  No coach, no star.
